Sampling

Should I give saliva/blood sample?
For the Wellness and Ancestry tests, a saliva sample is sufficient. However, for the BRCA Test and Whole Exome Test, a blood sample is preferred.
When should sampling be done?
For optimal results, it is recommended to collect a buccal swab sample early in the morning before brushing your teeth. To avoid food remnants, please brush your teeth the night before. Additionally, it is advised to avoid drinking water, eating, or smoking before collecting the sample.
How shall I return the sample?
After completing the sample collection, kindly repack the saliva kit in the original box and securely place it inside the courier envelope provided. Then, deliver it to the nearest courier office for processing.
How long will it take to get the results?
The test typically take 4 to 6 weeks to process, if there is an urgency we may charge extra fee.
How will I receive my test results?
  • Through online (by our website) : We will provide an online portal where individuals can access their test results. To access the portal, you will typically need to create an account using the email address and password you provided during the testing process.
  • Email : We will provide test results via email. You will typically receive an email notifying you that your results are available, along with instructions on how to access them.
  • Hard Copy : We will send a physical copy of your test results via mail. This may take longer than receiving results online or via email.
Who will have access to my DNA results?
  • The company that performs the DNA testing will have access to your DNA results. They may also use your data for research purposes only if you provide consent to do so.

What will happen to my DNA sample after the test is complete?

Test results and interpretations

How are DNA test results reported?
The DNA test results are usually delivered in a PDF document through an online portal and an email notification will be sent to the registered email address, accompanied by the report.
What does a positive or negative result mean?
The meaning of a positive or negative result will depend on the specific DNA test being performed. For example, a positive result for a genetic mutation associated with a particular condition may indicate an increased risk of developing that condition, while a negative result may indicate a lower risk.
How are the test results interpreted?
The reports are generally self-explanatory, but a free genetic counseling session will be provided after the test to further interpret the results in a comprehensive manner by our counselors.
What is genetic predisposition to a disease?
Genetic predisposition is the increase or decrease in the probability of suffering from a certain disease depending on the genetics of each person. It is also called "genetic susceptibility".

For customers who order a test with us, one session of genetic counseling is provided for free. Any additional sessions will require payment.

How to prepare for genetic counseling?
You can get the most out of your genetic counseling appointment if you gather as much information as possible about your medical records and family members health history beforehand, if possible.
What will I get from genetic counseling?
A personalised recommendation report will be provided after genetic counseling session taking into account your genetics report and personal health history with more actionable points. In addition to it, food sources of various nutrients are also provided in the report. Annual health checks based on your report will be suggested.
